Hey there, friend!

My name is Bri Watkins. Iā€™m a graduate of Texas State University with a degree in digital media innovations and a minor in art and design. I like making functional things and conversational pieces of art, incorporating purpose through various different mediums. My work spans across user experience, graphic design, animation, jewelry-making and ceramics. Every piece of artwork I create aims to cultivate stories behind the client/consumer, and I it hope sparks curiosity and ambition in your heart. I would be honored to create something for you based on your authentic perspective in which you view life. I have partnered with local business owners, ethical and sustainable brands, and counseling professionals.

A little bit of background //

In the spring of 2018, I moved from Texas to LA to intern with Darling Media to work alongside its photo production team. Through this experience, my vision of design and content shifted. Through every photo, every story, I noticed the difference Darling was making as it strived to create media that matters.

In the summer of 2017, I worked as a social media intern with IF:Gathering -- an organization aiming to empower women to speak up in local churches. IF holds an annual conference to equip and motivate women to fully live our their purpose in this world.

I've had the opportunity to serve with The University Star for over two years. I worked my way up as managing editor and had an extraordinary experience covering relevant topics such as environmental progress, mass shooting tragedies, local politics and cultural heritage celebrations. My time working with the Star has given me invaluable experience of the storyteller I aim to be.
